About ATN Bangla
ATN Bangla was the first privately owned satellite television channel in Bangladesh, launching in July 1997 and ending the state broadcaster's monopoly. Everything that followed in Bangladeshi private television — the news channels, the drama boom, the talent formats — starts here.
It remains a general-entertainment channel with news bulletins; its dedicated news sibling ATN News launched later as a separate 24-hour service.
এটিএন বাংলা বাংলাদেশের প্রথম বেসরকারি স্যাটেলাইট টেলিভিশন চ্যানেল, ১৯৯৭ সালের ১৫ জুলাই সম্প্রচার শুরু করে।
