About New Age
New Age is an English-language daily published from Dhaka since 2003, edited throughout by Nurul Kabir. It occupies a distinctly critical position in the English press — its editorial line is sharply independent of whichever government is in office, and it devotes unusual space to labour rights, press freedom and constitutional questions.
The paper is smaller than The Daily Star or Dhaka Tribune, and it reads like it: fewer lifestyle pages, more argument.
