About Bangladesh Pratidin
Bangladesh Pratidin built the second-largest print circulation in the country in barely a decade, largely by doing something the older broadsheets did not: a compact, picture-led front page, aggressive crime and celebrity coverage, and a price point aimed squarely at the mass market.
It belongs to East West Media Group, the media arm of the Bashundhara conglomerate, which also publishes Kaler Kantho, the English-language Daily Sun, the portal Banglanews24 and the broadcaster News24. That shared newsroom infrastructure is why a story often surfaces across several of those titles within minutes.
