About Channel I
Channel i began broadcasting on 1 October 1999 and was the first Bangladeshi channel to transmit digitally. It is a general-entertainment station with a substantial news operation rather than a dedicated news channel.
Its long-running agriculture programme Hridoye Mati O Manush and its music and talent formats gave it a cultural footprint well beyond news, and the channel's associated awards have been running for over two decades.
চ্যানেল আই ১৯৯৯ সালের ১ অক্টোবর সম্প্রচার শুরু করে এবং এটি ছিল বাংলাদেশের প্রথম ডিজিটাল সম্প্রচারকারী চ্যানেল। কৃষিবিষয়ক অনুষ্ঠান 'হৃদয়ে মাটি ও মানুষ' এর অন্যতম পরিচিতি।
