About Ekushey TV
Ekushey Television launched in 2000 as Bangladesh's first private terrestrial channel, and its early news operation is still remembered for changing what Bangladeshi television news looked like — field reporting, live crosses and a far less formal delivery than viewers were used to.
Its terrestrial licence was revoked in 2002 and the channel later returned as a satellite broadcaster, which is how it operates today.
একুশে টেলিভিশন ২০০০ সালে বাংলাদেশের প্রথম বেসরকারি টেরিস্ট্রিয়াল চ্যানেল হিসেবে যাত্রা শুরু করে; পরে এটি স্যাটেলাইট চ্যানেল হিসেবে সম্প্রচারে ফেরে।
